Autism Sensory Tools

My students need a ball chamber, tent, liquid tiles, a tunnel tube, and wrist weights, to meet their sensory processing needs.

My Students

Our school is located in a rural area of Florida. Our entire school qualifies for free breakfast and lunch due to the high poverty levels of our students.

My students come to school with a variety of levels, and require a lot of support and one-on-one instruction in order to be successful in school and beyond.

My students love school and get off of the bus each day with big smiles on their faces, because they are excited to be here.

My Project

My students come to school with a variety of needs and sensory processing is one of them. I teach very young students who all have some form of disability.

Several of my students have Autism and their sensory needs are very important for their success in life and school.

This project would provide my students with a variety of tools that they need in order to meet those needs. The tunnel, tent, and the inflatable round ball chamber would give my students a safe sensory place in the classroom. The weighted wrist bracelets would give my students stability when they are writing. The liquid floor tiles will be great additions to our sensory center and allow them an opportunity to explore colors while also meeting their sensory needs.
