Autism Learning Through Hands On!

Help me give my students hands on materials of lakeshore alphabet cones, counting cones, addition snaps, writing letters, numbers and emotions that incorporates engagement in their learning in literacy, mathematics, and social emotional learning.

My Project

I am requesting some additional hands on learning materials to incorporate in my literacy, mathematics and social emotional learning lessons.

I work with students who have Autism and one of the ways they learn best is to be able to manipulate materials with their hands and to visibly see these items.

The letter alphabet ice cream cones will come in handy when students are working on their phonemic awareness skills, the number cones will come in handy when we’re working on number awareness. The trace and write numbers, letters and emotions, students will

be able to apply what they learn and see it and then will love to be able to erase it and try again. Another big importance. when teaching students with autism is having novel learning materials, this makes it very motivating for them!
