Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The books I have selected will make a difference in my students' learning by helping strengthen their reading fluency and comprehension. The diverse books on this project are a gateway to better reading skills for all my students. I plan on making a difference in their learning by reading books they can relate to. Another resource I added to this project is a small photo printer and photo paper I can use to promote reading. I plan on promoting reading by printing and posting pictures of students reading in the front of my classroom.

One of my goals for this project is to use the books I have selected to help improve my students' reading skills to improve their reading comprehension and fluency.

Improving each of my students' reading skills will help prepare them to pass the state assessment at the end of the year.

The materials I have selected will help promote the diversity of my students and their families. My students should have the opportunity to read books that reflect their lives. Students become better readers when they can connect to the characters and events in a story. Quality books must be available for all my students in my classrooms!
