This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The supplies that I have listed will support my students in their everyday learning, foster their creativity, and expose students to high-quality literature. Students will have access to open-ended building materials including Plus Plus Blocks, Brain Flakes, Play Doh and more. The multicultural texts will be used to engage students in discussions about Traditions/Celebrations Unit in Social Studies.

Organization is key to success when guiding students to do independent work.

I utilize centers and rotations in order to teach my students in small groups to make sure their diverse needs are met. In order to do this, the materials that the students use must be easily accessible. The storage bins will have center materials. Center materials will be color-coded in the bins so little hands can find them easily. The colored cardstock paper, laminating sheets, and bags will help me create personalized learning activities and keep them sorted by student/group. This will allow for high engagement and less interruptions when teaching students small group.
