My Project

I’ve requested two novels sets for my classroom and rolling carts. I’d like to provide the storage for each student to have their personal book and reading materials for vocabulary and comprehension of those books. The storage will provide a space for each child to keep materials organized. The two novels I’ve chosen are engaging and when used as a read aloud have produced great conversation within the classroom. I want all my students to have a copy of the the book, in their hands, so they can practice the reading skills and strategies that ensure they are great readers. My students need to be able to monitor their reading, meta cognitively, so they can better interact with actual text. They need to read chapter books to build their academic endurance. They need to practice multitasking skills. Most importantly my students should love to read and feel an accomplishment after completing an entire novel.
