Austim Can't Stop Me From Working, Creating & Being Social!
Help me give my students with autism a Cricut Maker 3 to create a small business classroom idea and $100 TpT gift card for educational resources on social skills for teens with autism.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The world of special education is unique and amazing. I can attest that working with my students that have been diagnosed with autism has been nothing but rewarding. The physical and emotional rewards that I experience when working with students with autism are tremendous. My main goal is to see my students experience success and achievement.
The cricut maker and gift card I am requesting will be used in my classroom to create a school based small business.
This will teach and enforce executive functioning skills, job skills, and social skills which many of my students lack. I would like the cricut machine to sell items we create with it and sell those items within our school created by my students. I would like the gift card to purchase social skills lesson plans for my students with high functioning autism. Unfortunately, our school district does not have a curriculum for the high functioning students only those that have more severe autism. My students will love the cricut maker and also the new new teaching materials.
