My Students

I love that my students are innocent and open and eager to participate in every activity. I love that their energy is strong and unbroken and that they want to learn everything.

I love and learn from my students how to be fearless and take chances and to ask questions about the world.

I love how they responded when I told them about 'Audubon New York City, For the Birds'! I know they will love this program and the field trip.

My Project

Ann Sandy, from 'For the Birds,' will grow the next generation of conservationists. Two 2nd grade classes will receive Seven 1-hour lessons plus one 2-hour field trip to Central Park. Plus, Field Guides and Journals!

'For the Birds' will open our, East Harlem, New York City, eyes and ears to the wonders of the avian world.

We'll observe, count, measure, predict, write and draw about our observations using multi-disciplines–science, math, language arts, and visual arts. Our students are like hatchlings, wide open and awaiting the nourishment that DonorsChoose.org can make possible. We may even learn a bird song for you.
