My Students
My students are from a small town and a small school system. They range from eighth grade to seniors in high school. The majority of my students have grown up together and are very close. They spend their spare time working with their family on ranches or in a local gas station.
They are very active in their school through sports, BPA, and the National Honors Society.
They also help with sporting events. Many of the students are looking at going to college in the future. They want to succeed in school.
My Project
Many of my students listen to audiobooks or music while they read or are independently working. Also, some testing is completed in my school, students are required to have headphones for listening components. While most students have access to headphones of their own, some do not. Also, not all students have access to MP3 players.
Headphones and MP3 players will help my students with comprehension and help alleviate distractions.
With the headphones and MP3 players, students will have access to audiobooks and music. Some students use music to help them from getting distracted during independent work time. Audiobooks help students with comprehension when they are reading.
I hope by providing headphone and MP3 players for students, it will help them have the tools they need to achieve the goals that we set together.
