At PS/IS 119 we have found music to be a great addition to our teaching methods by helping to create an interactive and engaging environment. Music opens us up to dance, student choice, motivation, relaxation, creativity, and group cohesion.
The use of audio speakers in the gym creates a collaborative and inclusive environment that is culturally responsive to students while respecting their different learning styles and needs.
It is important to us that our students feel comfortable in the gym, to increase their participation and find enjoyment in movement.
Funding our project would give access to an essential learning resource that could support various teaching methods for students of different backgrounds and abilities.
