Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I as a teacher have always struggled with speaking at a volume that all 30 of my students can hear with clarity. Some students in my classes are hearing impaired and struggle to hear my instruction and the contributions of their classmates.
Discussion is so important to scientific and engineering processes.
Students must be able to hear and discuss with each other clearly. I have used different, cheap, voice amplification systems throughout my teaching career and they have always broken quickly. I am trying to create an investment so that all of my students can hear clearly and I myself am not strained 6 times a day while speaking to the whole class.
Using a quality microphone makes learning and engagement more accessible for all my students and creates a more welcoming learning environment.
