Attracting Readers with Magnetic Boards and Letters!!
My students need magnetic letters and boards to work on phonics and word skills.
This project expired on January 9, 2015.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
Today's students need hands on manipulatives to help them learn in the classroom. They need to be able to move, explore, and create with their hands.
This year I teach an energetic and loving group of 20 first graders.
They love to explore and learn new skills. They are very active and love to be on the move.
Our school is in a small, rural town in Tennessee. My school currently enrolls just under 1,000 students from Pre-K to 4th grade. The majority of our students receive free and reduced lunch.
In my classroom, my students love to learn with hands on materials. Learning to read is more fun for them when they can create words themselves. With the magnetic boards and letters, students will be able to create words over and over again. These materials can also be used in small group or in one on one instruction.
I need magnetic letters and boards to bring more hands on learning into my classroom.
By having these manipulatives, my students will be able to explore letter sounds, phonics rules and how they come together to make words.
