This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are considered low-income and high risk for failure. They come from families who are underprivileged, and most live in poverty. The school provides their supplies and sometimes even their clothes and shoes. Almost all of my students are second-language learners who are not fluent in either language. Most come to school hungry and tired due to poor living conditions. Ninety-five percent of my students are Hispanic and English language learners, and all get free lunch every day. We are considered a Title I school, due to the factors above.
My Project
I just received some P.E. equipment but no cart to put it in! I am requesting a rolling P.E. cart (that can be locked), a ball pump, and ball pump needles. That way the equipment is organized and we won't have to waste our P.E. time having the class carry out each piece of equipment - it can be rolled out all together!
These materials will make a difference to my students because being active and playing sports will help them develop a healthy lifestyle that will inspire good habits for their adult years!
Please help me help my students be healthy and happy!
