This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our Middle School is a Title I school within Los Angeles. Many of our students live in apartments and do not have an opportunity to play outside. I would like our students to experince the joy of having fun playing volleyball outdoors with a giant beachball and all their friends during lunch. The beachball is easy to hit, cannot hurt anyone, and brings a smile to everyone's heart. Two nets would be set up side-by-side so a multitude of students can participate.
Instead of sitting around during lunch, I would like our students to get outdoors, play, have fun, meet new friends, and experince the joy of outdoor recreation.
