Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I work at a low income school where some basic needs are not able to be gotten due to the students families being lower income. We do get donations from our partnerships around the community, but one thing that is very rarely donated is undergarments. This is especially important for the girls, who sometimes will not be able to come to school as they do not have them.
Your donations will go to helping students in low income areas have the basic need of undergarment, who maybe in foster homes, group homes, homeless, or lower income families.
We also have special needs students who sometimes have accidents and when they do they have nothing to change into. This would go far to helping so many demographics at our school.
The school closet provides a lot to our students, to be able to have a section where they can have access to all their clothing needs would be a wonderful gift for them.
