My Students

Our school is a welcoming community-based, neighborhood school serving a diverse group of students and their families. With over twenty different languages represented in our building, we are proud to be one of the most diverse schools in the United States.

We are a Title I school where the staff and students take pride in our diversity and community support.

Our staff is dedicated to the continuing academic success and the social and emotional growth of all students. Our school challenges its students to make good choices, expect respect, and strive for excellence. Our students are some of the kindest, loving, and generous students you will meet.

In addition to that, these students deal with many issues at home. They overcome poverty, language barriers, and cultural barriers on a daily basis. As a school community, the staff does all it can to support our students and show them the love they deserve.

My Project

Most of my students do not have school supplies at home, not even writing paper. At my school, we are accustomed to providing all supplies to the students, because of the economic status of the families we serve. These whiteboards and markers will help my students show each other the work we are doing while we work together in our Zoom meetings. They rely on their teachers modeling example and then copying and practicing themselves with teacher feedback. We appreciate your abundant generosity to our family.
