Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I work with young children who are enthusiastic learners and are in a preschool special education setting. They enjoy hands on activities and engaging lessons whether on campus or online. I love seeing how my students are curious and explore their surroundings at their own pace. With distance learning, it has been a challenge due to not having the resources needed to support all my students.

My Project

Although distance learning has been a challenge... my students continue to try their best with the support of their parents/caregivers.

By donating these at home resources (play dough, magnetic letters, white boards, counters, markers, watercolors, and scissors) you will be supporting my students, their caregivers, and myself to make learning exciting and interactive!

Our lessons will include using play dough to make letters, numbers, shapes, cut, build a stress ball, and much more. We will use white boards and markers for the students to have another way to participate during our zoom sessions. Students will be able to use magnetic letters to identifying letters and spell. Also to count, write, and draw. We will use watercolors to mix colors and as another way to do art when drawing/painting in our art journals.

Using counters will give my students an opportunity to sort, count, and make patterns! FUN!!! I will use the felt board, wiggly eyes, and dry erase/magnet board easel for storytelling and visual representation.

My students will learn letter recognition, counting, patterns, sorting, spelling, writing, and strengthen their hand muscles!
