At Home Learning Pouches

Help me give my students materials to continue their learning at home. These pouches will hold center games and activities to reinforce phonics skills at home. The students will use the spinners, blocks and dice to play games!

My Students

I teach multilingual learners in Kindergarten at a public charter school in a diverse neighborhood in Baltimore City. Our program gives students from many different backgrounds and cultures a place to grow and succeed.

My students are creative, energetic, motivated and ready to learn!

The students I work with primarily speak Spanish in their homes and are just beginning to learn English. They are excited to learn new words and phrases and interact with their friends. They are motivated to learn the alphabet and begin to read.

My Project

I want my students to be able to continue to learn at home and on the weekends with their families. These pouches will contain games, puzzles and books to send home with my students each weekend.

The hands on activities will help keep the students engaged and having fun while learning at home.

Each pouch will provide all the materials that a child would need to practice a skill such as identifying sight words, alphabet knowledge or word blending.

Pouches will also contain leveled readers that students can read with their families each night.
