Help me give my students materials for their homes. I am asking for this grant for several Pre-K students who don’t have many necessary learning supplies in their homes.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As a Pre-K team in a Title I school, this year we are focused on putting more learning materials in the homes of our students.
Our students often say things like, “I don’t have a pencil at home,” or “Could I take home some crayons?” It’s heartbreaking to hear and in order to effectively increase literacy and numeracy skills for success, these supplies would allow us to send home some worksheets for practice, as well as give parents tools for teaching their child.
At conferences this fall, parents have been saying that they want more tools. Thank you for helping us create students prepared with early learning skills.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
