This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students this year are pre-k diverse learner students, ages 3-5, learning with developmental delays, Autism, and social learning difficulties. They are happy and adventurous and enjoy exploring new activities. Some are in their first or second year of early intervention learning and will benefit from having more hands on, tangible activities for creativity, learning and social interaction. My students are motivated little ones with a lot of energy and curiosity. They benefit from consistent, structured settings that allow them safety and comfort. During the pandemic and remote learning, it has been difficult to provide them with hands on activities that can enhance their learning experience.

My Project

This project will provide at home activity kits that are geared to PRE-K learners and comes in a convenient clear backpack that they can keep their items nearby as we learn remotely. It’s been very difficult keeping supplies handy for each student to use when they’re at home when we are working in small groups. These activity bags will keep items at their fingertips and allow them to participate in the small group activities and whole group activities.Having a stocked backpack handy, will give students the feeling they are at school learning with their fashionable backpacks filled with educational activities.
