My Students
My students are enthusiastic and eager learners. They are in our STEM first grade class and love using the engineering design process to build. They are very excited and engaged when they can learn in a hands on way.
During distance learning it is a challenge to keep the children engaged and focused.
To do this I often include hands on activities and STEM lessons. These lessons often require materials that not all students may have at home. My students have to rely on what they have. Despite these obstacles the children and eager to engage in new activities.
My Project
My students will use airplane kits, people shapes kits, and tissue paper squares to construct various projects during distance learning. This will give the children much needed supplies for at home projects.
By sending students STEM home kits, students will be engaged in creative hands on learning projects.
Each week we will feature a STEM project that the children will complete using their at home kit. This will allow students to benefit from the same activities they would have done if in person. The children will stay involved and excited about distance learning.
