Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I have a diverse group of amazing 3rd, 4th and 5th grade learners with unique learning abilities and needs. But one thing they have in common is that they enter my classroom with an enthusiasm for learning. One of the reasons why I love working with my students is that they are like sponges and soak up everything they hear and see in their environment. Even when you think they're not paying attention, you'll be surprised at how much they can tell you about the lesson.
My Project
These voice/audio recorders can support my struggling readers in their grade level and promote greater independence, especially in reading comprehension. Throughout the day, I provide small group instruction for reading, math, and writing. During small group, I read aloud the text to support comprehension. The voice/audio recorder will support the unique needs of each of my students. This will allow me to read aloud and record the text, which will provide each of my student with the opportunity to listen to and read along the text independently.
By donating the voice/audio recorders, you will be able to give my students access to the reading material and level out the playing field.
