My Project

My name is Jancy Mathew, and I am a Special Educator at my elementary school. I work with around 35 children who have special needs, and they are in different grade levels. Most of these kids are from low-income families, and unfortunately, they are often unable to get the basic supplies they need due to natural disasters like hurricanes or tornadoes. These situations significantly impact students' learning and growth as their parents struggle to support them. They may have suffered damage to their homes or vehicles and must use their earnings to rebuild or repair them to survive. Providing classroom supplies, including books and paper, and small incentives, such as sensory toys and snacks, and supporting students' social-emotional well-being are essential for their progress. Thank you for helping me continue my passion and teaching career and support my students' learning journey.
