My students need an appropriate and complete assessment of their speech and language abilities to determine baseline data and an appropriate treatment plan.
We need appropriate baseline data on our students! Our school is short on money and short on up-to-date comprehensive speech and language assessment protocols. We need your help!
My students are a group of elementary school children diagnosed with autism.
They go to a special education school in which there are 6 children in each class. All of my students receive related services (Speech, OT, PT) multiple times a week. Each of my students is different and special. They make me smile everyday.
My Project
My school is in desperate need of the Preschool Language Scale, Fifth edition (PLS-5). The PLS-5 is a comprehensive language assessment, that assesses a variety of language skill areas such as expressive, receptive and early literacy. This will help me provide my students with appropriate speech and language therapy. The best part about the PLS-5 is that it is interactive, which is just what children with autism need.
The PLS-5 is essential to provide appropriate speech and language therapy to my students.
I need to know my students' baseline in order to document progress over time and provide appropriate therapy. The PLS-5 will also help me to report progress to parents and make suggestions to promote carryover in the home.
