I teach music to Kindergarten through 5th-grade students. My students come from a variety of different homes and backgrounds, but the majority of the students receive free or reduced-price lunch. Many of the students haven't been exposed to different types of music and the arts at home, but there is a lot of talent and potential.
I have 30 great students who are participating in the upcoming spring musical.
We are trying to find ways to get more students excited and interested in the arts. These students are looking forward to putting on a great production, and they are excited to see it all come together. I am trying to help my students realize how much potential they have and really be a part of a memorable performance.
My Project
Our school is trying to do a big, Spring musical and make it an annual performance. The students are working hard and really looking forward to performing for their parents and classmates. We want to make sure their hard work does not go to waste, so we need to be heard! Currently, we have been using microphone stands and wired microphones that will not work as well for this big production. These hands-free wireless microphones will bring the performance to another level.
A musical is a memory that will last forever.
We want the memory of this musical to be a great one for the students. This performance could encourage these students to continue to perform and take music classes in the future, which statistically can result in improved test scores, enhanced cognitive skills, and better societal and psychological outcomes. If those watching the performance can hear them well, it could also encourage more students to get involved in the future. We will also be able to use these microphones in many performances in the future, so the impact will be many more than the 30 students participating.
The wireless microphone system and headsets will truly make this musical a magical experience. My aspiring performers want to be heard!
