it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I would like to introduce my students this year to portrait painting. In the past I have just had them paint on a canvas laid on a table covered with butcher paper. This worked, but I know we can do better. This is why I am making this campaign.
Help me give my kiddos the appropriate tools they need to create amazing paintings that they can be proud of.
The stability of having a table top easel will allow for a few things. First, it saves my table from a huge mess. Second, having these easels will allow the student to focus on their own personal art. This allows the creativity to flow and the copying to diminish. If you can't see your surroundings, you can focus on your work. Finally, having an easel just gives a more professional and polished feel to the art form. 5th graders are in that stuck in between babyish activities and more mature activities. Sure, painting on a table is fun and messy, but when you want to be taken seriously, you need the proper tools. Funding of this project will help not just this year's kids, but my future students as well. Please help a generation of artists!
