My Project
Every year, our State Capitol decorates the tree in the rotunda with ornaments made by children from around our state. This year, I would love to submit ornaments made by our third graders to the State Capitol. This project will help fund the materials that we would need to create ornaments for our state.
In third grade, we learn about our state history, and one of their favorite topics - every year - is the history of how our Capitol building came to be.
Since this is a favorite topic of theirs, I would love for them to create something that can go on display within that building. This way our scholars are giving back to the community, making something that will be seen by many, as well as getting them more invested into their state history by contributing a small part to it.
