Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We are in a Dual language immersion program and all of our students make a great effort to learn Spanish and English. They struggle learning however they make a great effort everyday.

We are in a school which is economically disadvantage with the students being at high risk.

My students are smart, creative, and motivated students who love manipulatives. I would love to creates an authentic and exciting environment where my students can learn to express themselves and have fun.

My Project

The Arts play an important role in that it serves as an outlet for students to express themselves and use their imagination and creativity through art activities. My students enjoy arts and crafts lessons. It is one of the few lessons they all engage in and have fun with. Furthermore, it helps build independence. Sample arts lessons my students enjoy doing in class are mosaic arts, painting, making collages, constructing images...this time we are trying something different in our lessons we have one a month: making bracelets and painting canvas with acrilyc paint.
