Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are artists and makers who thrive when given the chance to create with their hands. To bring their ideas to life, we’re launching a new visual arts initiative using our xTool P2 laser cutter. This project blends digital design with hands-on art, helping students explore creativity through modern tools.

We’re requesting materials like colored acrylic, felt, plywood, watch bands, and more—each chosen to support artistic projects such as layered art, custom jewelry, signage, and wearable pieces.

Acrylic, exclusive to the P2, allows students to experiment with light, color, and depth in their designs.

In addition to laser cutting, students will also work with Siser EasyColor DTV and TTD Easy Mask—an inkjet-compatible heat transfer vinyl. This allows students to design and print full-color artwork that can be transferred onto fabric, opening the door to custom t-shirts, tote bags, and textile art. It’s a powerful way to bring digital artwork into the physical world.

Our students come from under-resourced communities and rarely have access to high-tech art tools like a laser cutter or custom heat transfer materials. This project gives them the opportunity to build skills in design, fabrication, and visual storytelling—skills that can spark creativity and even inspire future careers.

These specialized materials aren’t covered by our classroom budget. Your support will ensure that every student has access to the tools they need to fully participate in this creative experience.

Thank you for helping our young artists turn their ideas into beautiful, meaningful creations.
