My 800 kindergarten-second grade artists love creating masterpieces. They have spent the first half of the school year learning different art techniques, practicing fine motor skills, and making 2D projects. Now they are ready for a new challenge!
We will use the glue to make puffy paint for 3D mixed media projects!
I have a plethora of shaving cream in my classroom that could be used to make puffy paint! When you mix equal parts shaving cream and glue together, you get puffy paint! The shaving cream will keep it 3D while the glue makes it dry hard creating a great 3D effect. All we need to create the puffy paint is glue.
We could use puffy paint for things like adding snow to our pictures, clouds, or even ice cream! The texture and smell will also be enticing to my students with special needs and keep them engaged.
