My Students

Our students are in an inner-city school as well as a Title I school in Miami, Fl where 95% of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. The majority of my students are faced with socioeconomic challenges, which hinder their self-esteem. Despite the hardships, our students come every day ready and excited to learn. Despite so many hardships, my students are eager to learn and do their best. They want to be in school because they want to learn all they can so they can be successful one day. Although they face many struggles daily, I am hoping to keep conditions as normal and accessible as possible to provide my students with opportunities to create life-lasting, meaningful learning experiences.

My Project

My third grade students have really learned this year and I want to reward them for their hard work. We will be having a awards celebration together with their families to acknowledge them for all that they have accomplished. They will show off how to use technology to learn.

My students are ready for fourth grade and all of the academics that will come with that grade level.

This project will allow them to show their creativity by allowing them to design their own shirts for our awards ceremony.

This project will allow the students to explore heat transfer, design and Cricut machine to create custom shirts for each student in my class. This will not only help my students show their creativity, but show their parents how much they have learned this year. A good time will be had by all, promoting positive feelings and originality by my students will teach them a lifelong lesson. Parents and children will associate school as a place of fun as well as a place where the hard work of learning takes place. Afterward, the Cricut machine will machine will continue to be available for future students, future classes, and future celebrations.
