Help me give my students watercolor pencils, oil pastels, and watercolor tubes so that they can learn to use the tools of their craft.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My school has been focusing on encouraging students with talents in the Visual and Performing Arts. Currently, we have an Art Colony that encourages students to develop their drawing skills. We want to expand and encourage students to use different media.
We want our students to become familiar with using watercolor pencils, water colors, and oil pastels.
Growing up in South Central Los Angeles, in a primarily working class, inner-city neighborhood, our students may not have access to these art materials on a regular basis. Coming from families where parents may be working multiple jobs and struggling to meet everyday needs, our students may not have these materials at home to practice their craft.
I hope that by providing Art Colony students with these standard art materials, our students will be empowered to develop their talent into a lifelong passion. Encouraging these budding artists to experiment with the tools of their craft will also help these students stay motivated, persist, and, hopefully, enjoy learning.
My Project
Currently, our after school art program is occurring via zoom. Students are exposed to different lessons regarding the elements and principles of art. They are expected to complete projects at home. Some of their work will be used to build portfolios which will be used by our district to determine if they are gifted/talented in the area of visual arts.
We need to distribute watercolor pencils, oil pastels, and watercolor paint tubes so that our Art Colony students can experiment with different art media.
We also hope that they will be inspired to create original pieces that they can use for their portfolios.
