I teach in a Title I school and, due to the socioeconomic status of our students, the school provides free breakfast and lunch to all!
I love to see them come in every year full of energy and ready to learn.
My class last year started with thirty students and most were far below grade level. By the end of the year, 80% of my students increased at least three reading levels.
We struggle, we learn, we GROW (oh, what a feeling)!
My Project
This year our school is transforming into a Fine Arts Academy! Students will have meaningful exposures to all art forms. This is an exciting year of change and imagination for all of us.
We need the requested Prang watercolor sets with paint brushes to make our writing come to life!
We will do lots of writing and painting to create stories of a lifetime. We need the Mead Primary Journal Creative Story Tablets to keep them in, a Giant Magnetic Early Writing Page to model correct letter structure, Store-It-All Rotating Caddies to keep our art material organized, bulletin paper/border for a place to display our art, and an X-ACTO Pro electric pencil sharpener to keep our other art supplies sharp.
