Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My classroom is full of happy 5 and 6 year olds. These special children are full of dreams and creativity. My students love free style drawing and creating different pieces of artwork in their white boards before they transfer them to paper. Sometimes during their free time, when they feel inspired, they get their white boards, go sit in our solid color old carpet in the corner of the room and start creating.

Due to limited resources, the Kindergarteners' creativity is cut short!

Many of our white boards are damaged from the corners and the markers are limited to 3 colors and many are drying out.

However, sitting in a new colorful carpet that displays a new scenery (changing from ocean to nature carpet every other month), using new boards and colorful markers will help the students' ideas and creativity develop and flow much easier. These supplies will give these developing new artist the perfect environment to develop and blossom.
