My students need art supply basics! In order to create fabulous artwork. We need white drawing paper, construction paper in various colors, gallons of glue to refill our bottles and watercolor paints!
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Our school is located on the east side of Indianapolis, Indiana. Many of our scholars come from low-income families.
It is my mission to teach my students to find art and beauty in the world around them.
Art is an important tool that can be used to teach critical thinking skills and also to teach them about different cultures and customs outside Indiana. My students often come to school with many needs and art is an outlet for them. I hope you'll consider donating to help my students enjoy and express themselves!
My Project
My budding artists need basic art supplies like drawing paper, construction paper, watercolor paint and glue to create their masterpieces. These students are amazing and often don't have the opportunity to make art at home. I want the art room to be a special place where they can have fun and explore many areas of art! Art is an outlet for these kids. It is also a way to learn about our world! We don't get a school art budget. Donations from amazing, generous donors allow us to experience many art mediums and to create work that makes the scholars proud.
