My Project
Music and art therapy offer numerous benefits. They provide expressive outlets for students to process and express their emotions, including those that may be difficult to verbalize. They reduce stress levels and allow students to explore emotions in a safe and supportive environment, leading to increased emotional regulation and well-being. Music and art therapy can improve communication skills and facilitate self-expression, particularly for individuals who struggle with verbal communication or have difficulty expressing themselves in other ways. Creative activities provide alternative means of communication and allow individuals to convey their thoughts, feelings, and experiences nonverbally, leading to an uplifted mood and a greater sense of positivity.
Music and art therapy have been shown to boost mood, alleviate symptoms of depression and anxiety, and improve overall mental health and well-being.
The various art materials and musical instruments are required for our students to engage in creative activities that can support their cognitive functioning and stimulate brain activity in memory, attention, and problem-solving areas. Creative activities provide alternative means of communication and allow individuals to convey their thoughts, feelings, and experiences nonverbally.
