Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Most students love doing art projects! But having art supplies is a challenge.
I teach 21 artistic first grade students in the California Bay Area.
My students attend a Title I school where most of them qualify for free or reduced price lunch. Many of my students are learning English as a second language.
These students are some of the most artistic that I have had in my career. They always want to do art projects but I don't have the supplies to make that possible.
My Project
I am requesting paint brushes, peel and stick sand art, and sun catcher painting kits to give my students more opportunities to be artistic. These kits will allow my students to use a medium that they haven't used before. The colorful sand will allow them to show their artistic expression. Students will be so excited to share their projects with their families.
Your generous donation will bring many artistic opportunities to my class.
My students will be so excited to create art and share it with their families. Thank you so much for your time!
