My Students

My students are so excited to return to school and get back to having hands-on STEAM experiences in our Innovation Lab. We will delve into 3D printing, robotics, and programming, as well as many other hands-on projects. It is so fun to watch their faces light up when they see the results of their own creations.

The students are curious and creative, imaginative, and innovative.

I love hearing their new ideas. We are a diverse school with many cultures and languages, and STEAM experiences are great at bringing everyone together for a common goal.

My Project

This year we have students learning both at school and at home. In order to be able to provide an equal experience to all our students, I would like to provide robots for the students to take home to use, so that all students can be excited about learning.

One thing that we are going to focus on is artificial intelligence (AI) and it's role in everyday things.

Students will learn about Allie K. Miller, head of AI Business Development at Amazon, and investigate the many ways that AI affects our lives.

The students will then use the Edison robots, along with their integrated sensors, to develop their own machines that they can envision would use AI in ways to improve our communities.
