My Project
My students believe that math class is just about finding the right answer to a problem. They having been learning that there is more than one way to solve a problem. My students did't believe how fun math could be until they saw these difficult concepts unfold right before their eyes. Having basic supplies of colored pencils, markers, and erasers students will have the ability to process their thoughts and encourage imagination, making thinking artful.
My are creators, authors, illustrators of their learning. Now they understand math class is a process, It's a routine, it's a session.
In our math classroom we not only want to showcase students thinking through the bulletin board. With these materials new concepts can be introduce while reinforcing familiar concepts. We can showcase students learning all around the classroom. Students can create their own anchor charts by being able to explore these complex grade 5 math core concepts through different art medias. These materials will help with making students thinking visible through art. These materials will help me give my students a variety of hands on experiences to explore and practice math skills.
