Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Through artful literacy students will have the opportunity to explore literary concepts, characters, and themes through artistic expression. For example, we will create visual representations of characters from novels, design book covers that capture the essence of a story, and illustrate key scenes from the text using the Model Magic, watercolor paper, crayons, markers, and other art supplies.
In addition to enhancing literacy skills, integrating the visual arts into our curriculum promotes creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
It encourages students to think beyond the written word and express themselves in alternative mediums, which fosters deeper understanding and appreciation for both literature and art.
