My Students
My students are excited, ambitious, and curious about the world around them. They always have a question to ask or a story to tell. My students are a diverse group of eager kindergarteners: ethnically, culturally, economically, and academically. I am a teacher at an International Baccalaureate school where students are exposed to a second language, art, music, gardening, technology, and character studies.
Did you love kindergarten?
Well my students do. They are excited and ready to learn. I want to give them an education that caters to the whole child including art. Art helps students in so many ways including fine and gross motor skills, creativity, and imagination.
My Project
My kindergarten students need watercolor and tempera paint, paintbrushes, paper, markers, and glue to create wonderful masterpieces that go along with our rigorous International Baccalaureate units. I already have lesson plans and ideas for how to use the supplies, I have zealous kindergarten students who love art, and now all I need are the supplies to produce art in the classroom.
My kindergarten students are eager to create masterpieces to hang on their refrigerators at home.
Art is a wonderful way for young students to express their feelings and emotions. Art connects the young generation with the marvelous art of our past.
