My Project

This year's class LOVES to draw and create with art projects and they are much happier when we are working on an art project. I always incorporate as much art as I can into our days, but this group is definitely craving more! I am digging deeper to find even more projects they will enjoy.

Our current roadblock is the budget cuts that have greatly limited the amount of supplies we can request.

Basic items like glue sticks and permanent markers are highly prized commodities these days.

I want to be able to support my students with more advanced projects that will hone their drawing skills and let us work with mixed media. The permanent markers will be used to line their drawings while allowing paints and pastels to be applied over the top without any bleeding. The art erasers will more easily allow students to remove pencil lines without smudging or tearing paper. The cardstock and yarn will allow me to offer 3-D art projects, and the glue will (literally) hold it all together!
