I teach seventeen kindergarten students, who are eager to learn. Approximately eighty-five percent of our children qualify for free lunches.
My students come to school everyday, excited about learning and can't wait to find out what the day holds for them.
They are thrilled to be learning to read! The students in my class learn best through hands-on activities. Many of them have special needs and each child learns in his/her unique way. They love playing with their friends and are very social. Technology engages them in learning and helps them learn at their level. Many of them face challenges outside of school and I want to do all I can to give them engaging learning experiences while they are at school.
My Project
Each year, kindergarten students go through many supplies. I like to keep things novel and interesting for students and having a variety of supplies available, helps achieve this goal.
I know many of my students' families struggle to purchase the supplies necessary for their child each school year.
I'd like to help alleviate this burden by helping to provide some of these basics. We go through many crayons, pencils and glue sticks every year. In addition to the ones families are able to supply, I typically purchase a full class set as well. This project will also provide some art supplies that make centers and reading practice more fun.
Your support of this project will start the school year off on the right foot for my future students. Thank-you for your consideration and support!
