My Project
Hello I am submitting this project for a group of wonderful 9th and 11th graders. Our school spends the last 3 weeks each year working on art and PE skills. This year my group is working on fueling their minds, bodies, and souls. We will spend the morning exercising and cooking. In the afternoon we will be working with different art mediums. We are seeking support for new art supplies so that students have the opportunity to learn new skill with these different art supplies.
We are asking for charcoal supplies because this is the one medium we do not have at our school and the one medium our students have never tried.
They will be working on creating portraits of themselves and working with pencils and watercolor. But it would be amazing for them to experience what they can do with white charcoal. We are also asking for supplies to aid in making piñatas as a way to honor the heritage of our students' culture.
The last thing we are requesting is stamp making supplies. Kids will cut out different designs that they will be able to use to make their own stamp or design that they could put on a shirt. The supplies we are asking for would support this year's students to deepen their love for their culture and become more creative. It will also serve students in the future that can benefit from these supplies as well.
