Art Technology Needed

My students need a classroom camera to be exposed to the opportunity of photography, as well as a document camera and projector to help with classroom demonstrations.

My Students

As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to keep things simple and provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences. I want to introduce them to ALL types of ART and different ways to express themselves. They are mini inspirations to themselves and others around them, even if they don't know it yet.

My Project

I am looking for every opportunity to teach my children new and exciting things. I want to introduce them to ALL types of art and let them experience every creative way to express themselves. One thing I have not yet had the chance to teach my students is Photography. In the classroom, the camera will provide the opportunity for the kids to learn the basics of how to appropriately use a camera and the career opportunities it provides.

The camera will play many roles in the art program for my students.

In addition to teaching the students the basics of photography. The classroom will also have the use of the camera for other art opportunities.

Another item that is needed for our classroom is the Document Camera, this camera will be extremely helpful in the art classroom. It will be helpful with class demonstrations on how to use supplies as well as other art techniques. The projector (another item on the list) will be used to help with the usage of the document camera.
