Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Teaching has always been a passion of mine. I am currently teaching inner city youth who enjoy the arts, math, and science. Most of the students in this school come from low income, poverty stricken homes. They normally wouldn't receive any type of formal art training if they were not enrolled in this art class. Within this class students are able to create and build projects for art competitions. In order to continue to help the students reach their full potential, we must ensure that they have all the updated supplies and materials to do so.

This campaign will give me the opportunity to ensure that every student learns through hands-on learning.

The students enjoy being creative and using their imagination to create magnificent projects. Providing them with the proper supplies students will be able to work, create, and compete at their best.

My Project

All of my students want to learn to create art using different art supplies at least once in their lives. This project will give the students an opportunity to explore and create through the arts. This allows them to expirement and express themselves while learning and trying new tools and techniques. This helps them with the basic idea of creation and experimentation. Incoroporating items such as wood buring and glue guns allows the students who struggle with drawing to still be successful, explore, and create art. All students are able to be creative little artist.
