Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our school is in an agricultural area. Many students have farm animals, like to play outside and have friends that live close to them, some students commute to our school from the nearby city.
The students in my class are very hard workers, they love to learn by moving, interacting and participating in hands-on and visual learning.
They are excited to learn. They have a very positive energy, are so king to each other, love animals, science, reading and enjoy having fun while learning.
My Project
At this time in the year, our classroom is running low on supplies.
I would like to request a very needed replenishment of EXPO Markers, water color and tempera paints.
My students use their white boards at least once a day. It is a fun way for them to respond to questions, provides for instant feedback and saves paper! Every attempt has been made to extend the life of our whiteboard markers, but by the end of the year, they are running out.
We are looking forward to the rest of the year and art is one way to keep students interested in school. Students love to paint. They will use the paint to illustrate their writing, make Mother's Day gifts for their mom's and grandma's and provide that spark of color and imagination that kids need!
