Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Most of our students at our school do not get to do art projects in their classrooms due to curriculum restraints. I would like to provide students access to a variety of artistic mediums, as well as art instruction as part of my library curriculum.

We will study art through illustrators of Children's picture books, and then use the art supplies to create art throughout the school year.

Children will not only see illustrators as artists, but also learn about artistic methods, and increase their own artistic skills as well.
