Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
The goal for this project is to provide an opportunity for students to express themselves using their artistic abilities. The classroom is in current need of paint, brushes, palettes and other materials. My 9th graders are waiiting patiently to begin their first painting project inspired by Diego Rivera. Students will learn about the Mexican culture and the impact of painters like Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo. With your donation, students will have acess to different colors of paint and different size brushes.
When students finish their painting, they will place them on the new drying rack your donation will provide.
Students, will have the opportunity to see their paintings on the bulletin with our new borders. In addition, students will have the opportunity to paint on their large flexible seating option. In our classroom, our flexible seating is only size medium and not many students can sit on those yoga balls.
