My Project

My students are incredible people. Each day I work with a different elementary grade level. Our community faces many challenges that often arise in a low socioeconomic area. Our students struggle with chronic absenteeism, while their families face an array of challenges including homelessness (which we refer to as "houselessness" since your home is where your heart is).

Despite the challenges that my students face, they are open, caring, have a genuine curiosity about the world and unlimited potential.

This project will bring much needed art supplies ( crayons, paper and more) to my students to fuel their creativity.
