In the art classes we will be creating multiple projects as it relates to oil painting, sculpture, acrylic painting, and pottery. Students will be working on still life painting and non objective paintings that will involve the emphasis of color theory and design. Secondly students will be developing three-dimensional sculptures with the use of tape and found objects. Thirdly they will be creating pottery by using the pinch pot and coil methods of clay construction.
Students will be creating a better understanding of the Elements of Art and Principles of design with the creation of these projects.
Students will be using paint brushes, and paper for their paintings; tape for their sculptures; and ceramics tools for the creating of their projects.
In addition, containers for storage of ceramic tools and paints are essential to the process of these projects. The process of drawing and transfer of students drawings requires the use of drawing pencils and tracing boards for this processing.
These art students are dedicated to creating great art. They come in to class each day excited to create great art work. They are inspired by each other works of art.
